Chapter 33: The Final Prayer Returning to the One Who Never Changed!

The Final Prayer

Returning to the One Who Never Changed!

We have now reached the end of this long journey. We walked through the streets of Makkah with a man who owned almost nothing, yet transformed the hearts of millions.

We stood beside Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه as the Muslim world trembled after the passing of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم (Peace be upon Him). We witnessed the justice of Umar رضي الله عنه. The generosity of Uthman رضي الله عنه. The courage and wisdom of Ali رضي الله عنه. We cried in the deserts of Karbala. We travelled through Damascus...Baghdad...Jerusalem...Constantinople...Istanbul...Delhi...Agra...

And countless cities that once believed history would remember them forever. We watched kingdoms rise...Dynasties flourish...Civilizations illuminate the world with knowledge...And then slowly disappear beneath the dust of time. Some rulers became symbols of justice. Some became warnings for future generations. Some sincerely sought Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ). Others became consumed by ambition. Some built libraries. Others burned cities. Some healed broken hearts. Others broke them. And history remembered them all.

Yet through every century...Through every victory...Through every tragedy...One reality never changed.

Allah remained the same.

The Creator who witnessed the tears of Hajar in the desert...The Lord who heard the prayers of Ibrahim عليه السلام...The One who comforted Musa عليه السلام before Pharaoh...The One who protected Isa عليه السلام...The One who revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم (Peace be upon Him)...

He remained unchanged while every empire beneath the heavens came and went. Perhaps...that is the greatest lesson history can ever teach. That permanence belongs only to Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ).

If this book has benefited anyone...Then all praise belongs to Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) alone. If it contains truth...It is from Him. If it contains mistakes...They belong to me.

For history is vast. Human understanding is limited. And Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) alone possesses perfect knowledge. To my Muslim brothers and sisters...

Do not let this journey become a reason for pride. Let it become a reason for humility. Do not inherit the arrogance of kings. Inherit the character of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Do not compete over who possessed the greatest empire. Compete over who possesses the purest heart. Remember that Islam spread not only through armies... but through mothers raising righteous children. Through honest merchants. Through humble scholars. Through Sufi saints who healed wounded hearts. Through ordinary believers who remembered Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) when no one else was watching.

If we wish to revive the honor of this Ummah... It will not begin with politics. Nor slogans. Nor anger. It will begin when truth becomes dearer to us than victory...

When justice becomes dearer than tribal loyalty... When mercy becomes stronger than hatred... And when we love Allah (الله عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ) more than we love ourselves.

To my non-Muslim readers...

Thank you.

Thank you for walking this journey with an open heart. Whether you agreed with every page or questioned many of them...Your willingness to understand deserves respect. Perhaps this book has not asked you to become Muslim. It has asked something much smaller. And perhaps much more important. To judge Islam through its own teachings...

Rather than only through those Muslims who failed to live by them. Just as no religion should be judged only by its darkest followers... Islam deserves the same fairness. If these pages have softened even one misunderstanding...

Reduced even one prejudice... Or inspired even one honest conversation between neighbors... Then they have already achieved more than I ever hoped.

To my beloved brothers and sisters of India... This land has carried extraordinary beauty. And extraordinary pain. For centuries...

Hindus... Muslims... Sikhs... Jains... Buddhists... Christians... And many others have shared the same rivers... The same monsoon rains... The same soil... The same dreams for their children.

History left wounds upon every community. Some wounds still bleed. Some memories still divide. But no child born today chose the battles of the past. No Muslim child bears the sins of medieval emperors. No Hindu child bears the responsibility of ancient kingdoms.

Allah Himself declares:

"No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another."

If we truly believe in justice... Then let us judge one another by our character... Not by the names of kings who died centuries ago. May India never become a prisoner of its history. May it become a nation where history is studied honestly... Remembered humbly... And never used as fuel for hatred.

And to every reader... Wherever you are... Whatever language you speak... Whatever your background...

Remember this.

You are not merely a citizen of a nation. You are not merely a member of a civilization. You are not merely the child of your ancestors. Before all of that...

You are a soul. A soul created by Allah. A soul that longs for peace. A soul that searches for meaning. A soul that will one day leave this world exactly as every emperor left it.

Alone. One day... The last page of your own life will also be written. Others may remember your profession. Your wealth. Your achievements. Or perhaps they may forget them entirely. But Allah will remember every prayer you whispered when no one was watching. Every tear you shed out of love for Him. Every hungry person you fed. Every injustice you refused to commit. Every lie you chose not to tell. Every heart you healed. Every forgiveness you offered. Every moment you chose sincerity over pride.

These are the pages that never disappear. Empires fade. Monuments weather. Books grow old. Even history slowly becomes forgotten.

But the words of Allah remain. The Qur'an remains. The truth remains.

And the Lord who created every civilization still calls every human heart toward Him.

So if, after closing this book... You remember only one lesson... Let it be this.

Do not spend your life searching for the greatness of kings. Search instead for the pleasure of your Creator. For on the Day when every throne has vanished... Every empire has turned to dust... Every monument has fallen silent...

And every historian has laid down his pen... There will remain only one King.

Allah.

The Ever-Living.

The Eternal.

The Most Merciful.

The Lord of all worlds.

"Everyone upon the earth will perish. And there will remain the Face of your Lord, full of Majesty and Honor." (Surah Ar-Rahman 55:26–27)

"To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return." (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156)

O Allah...

"If these pages contain truth, let them guide hearts. If they contain mistakes, forgive them. Increase us in knowledge, but also in humility. Increase us in faith, but also in compassion. Protect us from arrogance when we are strong. Protect us from despair when we are weak. Make us among those who love justice more than power... Mercy more than victory... Truth more than pride... And You more than this world. Unite the hearts of humanity upon what is true and pleasing to You. Forgive our parents. Forgive our teachers. Forgive those who came before us. Forgive those who will come after us. And when our own story reaches its final page... Let our last words be words of faith. Let our last breath be taken in remembrance of You. And gather us, by Your infinite Mercy, in the company of the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous."

Āmīn.

The End...

Or perhaps...

the beginning of a journey back to Allah.
